About Us

As one of the nation’s leading prosthetic and orthotic providers, OPC has raised the bar on patient care. Founded in 1981, OPC has multiple office locations throughout Florida and the Carolinas which provide a much needed convenience to patients.

Our mission statement is to raise the quality of prosthetic and orthotic care for all patients.

Why Choose OPC?

We are perfect for all walks of life. Whether you want to transfer solely from your bed to your chair or you’re looking to take your next step as a high-performance athlete, OPC will build you a customized device that will fit your needs.

We not only provide the devices, we make them! OPC fabricates all of its own prosthetic devices in our state-of-the-art fabrication facilities. Our highly trained technicians utilize some of the most advanced tools in the industry to provide our patients with a personalized custom device. This provides OPC with the most stringent quality control ensuring that our patients are receiving the best devices available.

Are you an amputee that does not have transportation to one of our offices? We make house calls and offer Uber Health. Our office locations offer the best environment and resources for treating our patients. However, we understand that extenuating circumstances can make this difficult at times. Whether it’s for a consultation, prosthetic fitting or a follow-up appointment, we will come to you or arrange for an Uber Health pick-up and drop-off through OPC.

We never want our amputee patients to feel alone, scared, and uncertain of what’s next. That’s why we created A.P.P.S. – Amputee Peer Patient Support – a team of peer advocates that are amputees themselves. Our team members offer emotional support and show new amputees that they aren’t alone – that they can overcome!

All consultations, follow-up appointments, visits with our APPS advocates, house calls, and Uber Health are free to our patients.

  • Our Practitioners

OPC practitioners are licensed and board-certified, which requires the highest degree of education and training. Their decades of experience ensure that our patients receive safe and appropriate care. We utilize the latest advances in our field including digital scanning, computerized lower extremity prosthetics, and myoelectric upper extremity prosthetics to develop a customized prosthetic or orthotic plan for you and your loved ones.

  • Our Facilities

All of our facilities are accredited by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics (ABC); the most stringent national standard available.

  • Our Support Team

Our professionally trained team of Patient Care Coordinators and Patient Care Managers work together to ensure each patient has a wonderful experience from start to finish. We also have our team of Amputee Patient Advocates, who use their knowledge of challenges ahead to provide counsel and additional emotional support. Our advocates are amputees themselves, who are available to listen, share, and support our patients as they progress through their journey.

Amp-ventures is a non-profit organization started by two of OPC’s A.P.P.S. Peer Patient Advocates. They know the power of amputees helping each other and lifting each other up. Every event hosted by Amp-Ventures includes activities from picnics and cornhole to paddle boarding and adaptive wakeboarding – and everything in between! Come meet other amputees, learn from them and be uplifted by their stories. The best part is all Amp-Ventures event are completely free for amputees and a guest.

The health and safety of our patients and team members have been OPC’s top priority throughout the pandemic, and we’ve consistently followed the CDC’s recommendations over time.  Given the CDC’s updated guidance, OPC will no longer require fully vaccinated patients and team members to wear face coverings in our facilities, except where it’s required by local ordinances. We ask any patient that is not fully vaccinated to wear a face covering.  Face coverings are required for any team member who is not fully vaccinated and we’ll continue our increased safety and cleaning measures, including social distancing, throughout our facilities.  OPC has mandated all Employees to be vaccinated and  we are providing paid time off (PTO) to staff when they get their vaccines.
